Since 2011, we have been awarded ICTI certification because of our commitment to adopting ICTI's code of business, focusing on a lawful, fair, safe, and healthy working environment.

As a corporate citizen, we are responsible for acting in a socially responsible manner, while we also see employees as an integral part of the company's social responsibility.

Taking care of the safety and health of our employees is an essential obligation. We promote safety culture by encouraging training, disseminating information and regulations on documents, and integrating the policy into overall practice.

In an effort to protect and minimize the impact on the environment and society, we believe that it is our responsibility to strictly comply with local environmental legislation and international requirements.
With the adoption of eco-friendly management practices, we achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification.

Moreover, we built up Wastewater Treatment Plant and LEV system to ensure that the effluent and air were clean and safe before emission in the year 2006 and 2007.

Policy Statement

- Natural resources consumptions
- Emissions and effluent

We Call For

- Products are manufactured safely for employees, customers, sub-contractors, neighbors, and end users.
- Appropriate to the context of organization, nature, scale, and environmental impacts of its activities, products or services (if any).
- Management commitment towards Prevention of Pollution (POP), compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Setting up environmental objectives and targets with the aim of continual improvement
- Proper documentation, implementation to making aware to all employees, shareholders, and external providers, as well as the public.

Leaderart Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd. is committed to reducing waste generated each year. We have set targets on the waste level and monitor the results monthly.

We generates a total of 13 kinds of Schedule wastes during the production. The wastes are packed into suitable containers and only approved wastes contractors for the Department of Environmental are used for the collection and disposition of the waste.
The waste generated including:
SW 104 - iron dross containing metal or contaminated metal
SW 109 - Spoilt fluorescent tube
SW 305 - Spent lubricating oil
SW 306 - Spent hydraulic oil
SW 307 - Spent mineral oil-water emulsion
SW 322 - Waste of non-halogenated organic solvents
SW 408 - Contaminated soil
SW 409 - Disposed containers, bags or equipment contaminated with chemical, mineral oil or writing ink
SW 410 - Contaminated hand gloves, rags, masks, respirator cartridge, rejected refill
SW 411 - Spent activated carbon
SW 416 - Sludge of ink, pigment and dyestuff
SW 417 - Waste of ink, pigment and dyestuff
SW 418 - Discarded off-spec inks, paints, pigment

The schedule waste are stored and segreagated in a well established area to prevent any leakage and inventories are regularly updated.

Leaderart always complies with social commitment responsibility. In August 2021, we have launched the green energy project using solar panels system that generates renewable energy for our production to reduce the effect on the environment and protect our green earth.

1. 1,172 solar panels were installed in the Malaysia factory.
2. 34 million markers are produced annually using solar energy.
3. 465 tonnes of CO2 is reduced annually.
4. 21,131 trees planted to remove CO2 annually
